I found a few encouraging signs on several fronts today:
-Visit the website of an Alaskan blogger who attended a rally and posted pictures of a crowd significantly larger than the rally welcoming Palin back to Alaska held earlier that day.
-The economy is replacing Iraq as the primary election issue - something all middle-income mothers can agree on. Conditions may yet continue to favor our first Millennial aged candidate if the Obama campaign will take a page from Bill Clinton’s playbook - its about the economy, stupid!
- The Obama campaign is focussed on the Electoral College
- Media coverage of Palin has been American-Idol-like absurd and bizarre. Without much of a history to examine, we are learning about her appointments (Palin’s high school yearbook serves as a directory) and her governing style - see this NYT’s article “Once Elected, Palin Hired Friends and Lashed Foes.”
